This month, James Whitmee has been undertaking a valuation of a large parcel of industrial land outside Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire.

Industrial land outside of Abidjan not located in master planned zones is generally in the order of XOF 20,000/sq m.

The industrial sector is buoyant in Abidjan, as evidenced by the impressive pace of sales of industrial land over the past 6 months. Furthermore, rental costs for warehousing are high at around XOF 4,000-5,000 /sq m /month in the very best central areas such as Vridi and on the Yopougon Industrial Zone.

More generally, and in peripheral and out-of-town locations that rate drops to a minimum of around XOF 2,000-3,000 /sq m /month.
